EWN reporter Monique Mortlock says the blood spatter analyst, Captain Marius Joubert, is finally on the stand in the murder trial of Henri van Breda in the Western Cape High Court.
Joubert's last appearance was postponed because he had been booked off sick.
The State is still cross questioning Joubert and after that, I think the defence will also do their cross examination.— Monique Mortlock, EWN reporter
According to Mortlock it is more likely that the defence will could get their opportunity to question Joubert on Wednesday because the court has adjourned for lunch.
She says the blood spatter analyst's statement does not support Henri van Breda's statements.
Van Breda pleaded not guilty to murdering his family (his parents, brother and injuring his sister) in 2015.
Captain Joubert revealed that evidence presented does not support Van Breda's statements because blood spatter was found in the shower. This contradicts what van Breda said because nowhere in his statement did he mention being anywhere near the shower.— Monique Mortlock, EWN reporter
He also claimed that he didn't see his mom but according to Joubert some of the blood on his shorts, the DNA reveals it was his mom's blood.— Monique Mortlock, EWN reporter
