[LISTEN] Father shares how he shot the man who raped his daughter

A Johannesburg father has shared of his family's trauma after his 17 year-old-daughter was raped by one of his employees.

Chris says he had walked in on one of his security guard's raping his daughter before he pulled out his firearm and shot at him dead.

As soon as I walked in and I saw what was happening, this rage filled my entire body and if I didn't shoot him I would have beaten him to death.

Chris, 702 caller

It took me seven months with this case back and forth between court, eventually they dropped the case against me.

Chris, 702 caller

He says his daughter became mute for over two years because of the assault.

My daughter turned mute, she wouldn't talk for two and a half years.

Chris, 702 caller

It was a huge battle, but any parent like this lady, I don't know of anyone that wouldn't do the same in that situation.
