LeadSA: Raising a generation of young people who know their value

10 December 2015 9:46 AM

Celebrating their 10th year anniversary, City Year South Africa's aim is to equip young volunteers with skills & opportunities.

City Year is a non-profit organisation that offers a diverse group of young people an opportunity to volunteer in a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to make the world a better place.

These diverse young leaders help children in schools and communities across Johannesburg, where they act as tutors, mentors and role models.

CapeTalk/702’s Redi Tlhabi spoke to Daylene van Buuren, executive director at City Year South Africa about the organisation’s aims and achievements.
